Room Parents Thank you for your interest in assisting your child's teacher. Over the course of the year, you will help your teacher with: Room Parents are the "go-to" person for their teacher. They are not the "I will do it all" person-- try to enlist a few co-room parents that can help shoulder the load. We all lead busy lives- but you will find this experience rewarding and worth every minute you can dedicate to it! Please feel free to contact me when you need clarification, advice or an empathetic listener!
Thanks, Below are some helpful sample letters and downloads from 07-08 school year. Class T-shirts are the way each classroom is easily identified when the students are participating in a field trip or a large-scale school event like Arts Day or Track and Field. The teacher determines the class color and mascot and prepares the t-shirt order. The office orders the shirts and paint. The Room Parent receives the dsign from the teacher and brings it to the office to obtain a "screened" version. The Room Parent coordinates gathering a minimum of 3 people for the activity of silk-screening the mascot on the shirts. Click here for directions on preparing the shirts for silk-screening and the silk-screening process. Click here to download the silk-screening instructions As an alternitive, you can contact Lee's T-shirts at 785-4139. He will professionally print the classroom logo's on the shirts for 2.50 and a setup fee. To use this alternitive, you would be in charge of charging each student $3.00 and scheduling the time to take the shirts to Lee Downtown on 6th street East of the 35 and picking up the shirts. Be sure to get this done before the first field trip. Here are some word files to give you ideas on how to communicate with the parents...
